Data Analysis: Spreadsheet
A cloud based student information system is an online database by which teachers, administrators and parents, collect, store and analyze student data. In a cloud based SIS teachers can enter grades, attendance and other student data using a computer or mobile device during day-to-day class activities. Student Information Systems (SIS)s have built-in applications (apps) for quick data analysis. Analyzed data can then be retrieved from the database in the form of reports. Teachers can prepare reports for parents and school administrators can use SISs to prepare reports for boards, districts and other stakeholders.

Constructing the SIS Spreadsheet exposed me to the structure, format, and tools that the program provides. As the above description described, the cloud based SIS enables teachers access to every day class activities on any devise and time. It's also convenient and easy to use. I've learned how to add cells, insert graphs, tables, pages and reports. It's provides formulas that generate the basic functions (average, sum, max, min) every teacher needs to record and analyze student progress and achievement throughout the year. Despite the time and age, each teacher would need to use a spreadsheet to enter grades, attendance and other student data; the cloud based SIS sheet just eases the process.
This is a tool I know I will use in my future classroom. It provides me with the adequote information to insert, analyze, record, and reflect on all my students and their progress. It's easy-to-use tools also enable teachers to quickly submit and show-n-tell parents and administrators necessary information.
The ISTE standards that are relevant to the data analysis project include the ability to design and develop digital-age learning experiences and assessments by modeling digital-age work and learning. Teachers, "collaborate with students, peers, parents, and community members using digital tools and resources to support student success and innovation" and "model and facilitate effective use of current and emerging digital tools to locate, analyze, evaluate, and use information resources to support research and learning."
